Horticulture is the art of cultivating plants to improve yield and maximise healthy growth and quality. Everything from disease resistance to producing healthy vegetables to propagating wonderful new flowers are all aspects of horticulture.
Horticulturalists understand the science and have a deep connection to the plant kingdom.

Gardening without horticulture is simply garden maintenance. and that is perfectly fine . . . unless you would like more than just a neat and tidy outdoor space!

I am a trained horticulturist and everything I do in the garden is based on science and my understanding of plants, soil and the natural world. This brings enormous benefits to even the smallest outdoor space - even humble containers and pot plants!
Knowledge and care is what sets a flourishing garden from a struggling one.
I believe it is not possible to tend, design or landscape outdoor spaces without horticultural expertise - and of course, a crazy love for gardens!
